FIELD: electrical engineering.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, specifically to use of active material in a negative electrode based on lithiated titanium oxide or titanate of a corresponding composition, and can be used in satellite of low Earth orbit (LEO), which has revolution period of 95–105 minutes, and only 60–65 minutes of time is available for its recharging. Due to low capacity of lithium-ion graphite element charge, discharge depth at such application is limited. According to the invention, the element using lithiated titanium oxide or titanate or suitable for lithium titanium or titanate oxide lithiation in the negative electrode increases the discharge depth. During operation discharge depths up to 70–80 % can be provided even if the element exhibits low specific energy. Lithium-ion electrochemical elements with proposed active anode material are used at LOE to optimize useful energy per cycle up to 70–80 Wh/kg.;EFFECT: higher charge rate without loss of capacitance per cycle provides improvement of useful specific energy per cycle.;11 cl, 4 dwg
