This panel comprises at least two plates of transparent material (1; 2) contiguous to each other by their inner faces (11; 21), while their outer face (10; 20) is free; one (1) of these plates, preferably colored, carries a first pattern engraved on its outer face (10), while on the other plate (2) is painted a second pattern, different from the first, a translucent surface being further interposed between the two plates (1,2), for example as a result of the frosting of the inner face of the first plate (1). Thus, when the first plate (1) is exposed to a light radiation (L), the first etched pattern is perfectly readable in direct lighting for an observer located on the same side as the light source, while for an observer located in the on the other hand, oriented in the shade, it is the second motif which is clearly legible to it, by backlighting.
