The invention relates to a bitumen painting process on a substrate comprising the following steps: - applying a first layer of bitumen 2 to said substrate 1; - application of a final layer of fixative liquid 5; each of the applications being followed by a drying step; characterized in that said method comprises a step of applying at least one intermediate layer of inorganic powder 3, covered with a transparent film of drying oil 4. The invention applies to the field of painting, in particular the artistic painting. It can also find applications in the fields of architecture, decoration and creative hobbies.
