An automatic tea maker comprising: a brewing container 2, support frame 1, control unit 5 and power supply module 6; a bottom of the brewing container having an elastic steel sheet 22 and a pin 23 for controlling movement of the sheet; a bottom wall of the container comprising a water outlet 24 and plug 25; one end of the sheet fixed to the container, another end fixed to the plug; a first filter screen 21 above the water outlet; the support frame including an upper support portion for supporting the container, a lower support portion for supporting a cup 3, and a support plate portion 13 having a through hole 14 corresponding to the water outlet; the upper support portion comprising a lever 15 for pushing the pin; the lever driven by an electromagnet 16; the lower support portion is slidably connected with a turntable 121 for placing the cup, the turntable being driven by a motor 122; the lower support portion comprises an infrared sensor, power supply module and the motor; wherein with the electromagnet energised, an inner end of the lever is lifted pushing the pin upward, the plug is moved up, and the water outlet is opened; when de-energised, the inner end descends, the elastic steel sheet is moved downward, the plug moved downward, and water outlet closed.
