The invention relates to a steam generator boiler (1) of a large steam generator, in particular a power plant or a waste incineration plant, with a membrane wall (5) at least partially surrounding an interior, the steam generator boiler (1) having a removable fall protection device which has a safety net (6) for catching heavy falling loads in the steam generator boiler (1), the safety net (6) being held by at least one drop brake (7) which is designed to brake the fall of loads landing in the safety net (6). The invention also relates to a power plant, in particular a fossil power plant, or a waste incineration plant with such a steam generator boiler (1) and a method (21) for securing maintenance work on a steam generator boiler (1).
