To provide molecules available to stop mechanisms of aging and fight against harmful effects associated therewith, as tools that permit "aging well" without disease or discomfort generally associated with old age.SOLUTION: The present invention concerns small nucleolar RNAs (snoRNAs) having particular RNA sequences as a medicament. The RNA sequences are involved in mechanisms of aging, and can be used in particular to increase the stress resistance of a patient, to control harmful effects of aging, typically to prevent or treat a degenerative disease, a laminopathy, diabetes, obesity or a cancer, and generally to prolong the lifespan of a patient.
