To provide a river information distribution device and river information distribution method capable of distributing information that can minutely promote an adequate evacuation behavior of residents for each area.SOLUTION: A river information distribution device includes an observation data reception section, a distribution information generation section, and a distribution section. The observation data reception section receives observation data related to a river obtained in an observation station arranged in each one of the areas. When received observation data exceeds a reference value to promote evacuation which is set in the observation station that has acquired the observation data, the distribution information generation section generates distribution information that includes evacuation information for each area including a reference value exceeding area where the observation station being an acquisition source of the observation data that exceeds a reference value is arranged. The distribution section distributes distribution information to a distribution destination.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
