The method for cooking cereal according to one aspect of the present invention comprises: a step for preparing a predetermined cereal, said cereal being the predetermined cereal to be cooked and having been weighed in a predetermined amount; a step for producing a package body wherein the cereal in the predetermined amount is enclosed in a water-soluble and edible sheet-type film; and a step for putting the package body together with water into a rice cooker and cooking. Thus, a labor-saving method for cooking rice is provided.
