PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide barium titanate particulate which is well dispersed in dispersion medium even though it is fine powder, a dispersion element thereof, and a process for producing barium titanate particulate.SOLUTION: The barium titanate particulate of the present invention comprises: a core particle containing barium titanate as a main body; and a coating part containing polyvinyl polymer compound which covers at least a portion of a surface of the core particle. A proportion of the coating part is 6 mass% or more and 10 mass% or less, an average particle diameter according to dynamic light scattering is 20 nm or more and 250 nm or less, and an intensity ratio (I/I) of Iwhich is an absorption peak intensity around a wave number 1450 cmin relation to Iwhich is an absorption peak intensity around a wave number 1550 cmis more than 8, in a spectrum obtained by FTIR analysis.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1B
