A music structure analyzing device (4) that assigns a feature section for characterizing the structure of music data (M1) to the music data, comprising: a sound analyzing means (11) for analyzing the number of sounds in each measure of the music data (M1) that have different frequencies; a ratio calculation means (12) for calculating, on the basis of the analysis results from the sound analyzing means (11) and using the measure having the maximum number of sounds as a reference, the ratio of the number of sounds in other measures among the analyzed sounds; a development point establishment means (13) for establishing a time point when the variation expressed in the ratio calculated by the ratio calculation means (12) exceeds a prescribed threshold as a development point of the feature section in the music data (M1); and a feature section assignment means (14) for assigning the feature section on the basis of the development point established by the development point establishment means (13).
