To provide a rice cake-like food product comprising a texture similar to that of rice cake at normal temperature, ice cream and production method thereof.SOLUTION: A rice cake-like food product in one embodiment is a food product including starch gelation material and sweetener, the starch gelation material is mainly formed of arrowroot starch, and does not include potato starch, sweet potato starch, corn starch and wheat starch, and as the sweetener, at least Wasanbon is included, however, purified sugar, glucose and combined sweetener are not included. The rice cake-like food product is frozen and can also be enjoyed as ice cream. According to the rice cake-like food product in one embodiment, the rice cake-like food product has springy feeling similar to that of sweet rice jelly, has no allergen property, and has a GI value smaller than that of sugar.
