Binder for secondary battery

An object of the present invention is to provide a binder composition for a secondary battery for achieving improved charge-discharge efficiency and good cycle characteristics at the same time. The binder composition for a secondary battery according to the present invention is characterized in comprising a polyamic acid comprising a repeating unit consisting of a skeleton based on an aromatic tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride and a skeleton based on an alicyclic diamine represented by structural formula: NH₂—(CH₂)_n—R²—(CH₂)_m—NH₂, wherein R² represents alicyclic group, and n and m each independently represent the number of repeating units selected from 1 to 5; and/or a polyamic acid comprising a repeating unit consisting of a skeleton based on an alicyclic tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride and a skeleton based on an aromatic diamine.
