The present invention relates to a cell culture plate comprising at least two wells sequentially arranged and a channel adapted for fluid communication between the wells, in which the channel is connected or coupled to a first pump through the openings at each end of the channel, and wherein said first pump is operable to circulate fluid between at least two wells. Devices and systems that incorporate the cell culture plate and methods and uses using it are also disclosed.
