According to the present invention there is provided an air suspension assembly (20) comprising: a top (22) disposed on a center axis (A), a piston (24) disposed on said center axis (A) spaced from said top (22), a bellows (26) of an elastomeric material extending about said center axis (A) between a first end (28) secured to said top (22) and a second end (30) secured to said piston (24) connecting said top (22) and said piston (24) defining a first chamber (32) extending between said top (22) and said piston (24) and said bellows (26), said piston (24) including an upper portion (52) defining a bore (60) disposed on said center axis (A) extending in gas communication with said first chamber (32), said piston (24) further including a body (70) extending outwardly from said upper portion (52) and about said center axis (A) to a proximal end defining a second chamber (74) extending between said body (70) and said upper portion (52), a decoupler (76) disposed in said bore (60) of said upper portion (52) attached to said piston (24) and disposed in gas communication with said first chamber (32) and said second chamber (74). Said decoupler (76) includes a partition member (78) extending transversely across said decoupler (76) isolating said first chamber (32) from said second chamber (74) and defining a first volume for said first chamber (32) between said partition member (78) and said top (22) and said piston (24) and said bellows (26) and a second volume for said second chamber (74) between said partition member (78) and said body (60) for changing pressure in said first chamber (32) and said second chamber (74) by varying said first volume and said second volume in response to a pressure applied to the air suspension assembly (20).
