A capacitive and inductive sensor (100) includes a first electrode (105), through which an electrical reference signal is injected, and a ground plane (101). The capacitive and inductive sensor (100) further includes at least one second electrode (102) that is concentric with the first electrode (105) and coplanar with the ground plane (101), and at least one inductive line (104) connecting each second electrode (102) to the first electrode (105) so as to deliver, in response to the electrical reference signal, an electrical return signal through the first electrode (105), which return signal is representative of a shape and of a composition of an object placed in a sensitivity zone of said capacitive and inductive sensor (100).
