An inductive and capacitive sensor (100) has a first electrode (105), through which an electrical reference signal is injected, and a ground plane (101). The inductive and capacitive sensor (100) further comprises at least a second electrode (102) concentric with the first electrode (105) and coplanar with the ground plane (101), and at least one inductive line (104) connecting each second electrode (102) to the first electrode (105) so as to provide, in response to the reference electrical signal, an electrical return signal by the first electrode (105) representative of a shape and a composition of an object placed in a sensitivity zone of said inductive and capacitive sensor (100).
