Provided in the present application are a positioning method, apparatus, storage medium, and electronic device, wherein the method comprises: determining first spatial coordinates when an image capture apparatus collects a depth image in a target space, and determining posture information when the image capture apparatus collects the depth image; performing region segmentation on the depth image to obtain at least one sub-region; determining a positioning sub-region from within the at least one sub-region; on the basis of distance information recorded by the depth image, the first spatial coordinates and the posture information, determining second spatial coordinates in the target space in which the positioning sub-region is located, and constructing a map on the basis of the second spatial coordinates.
