The invention relates to a mesh tray lid (1; 101) for a mesh sterilizing tray (4) having a substantially rectangular plate-like or grid-like basic shape which defines an outer side (12) which, when the lid is placed on the mesh sterilizing tray (4), faces away from said tray, wherein a detent and/or snap-in device (10; 110), which is provided and designed for interlockingly and/or frictionally receiving a rod-shaped bar (20) from a direction substantially perpendicular to the outer side (12), is formed or provided on each of two opposite edge portions (6, 8) on the outer side (12) of the mesh tray lid (1; 101).
