A reference-level gear helix artifact (1) capable of easily obtaining high precision by means of a generating processing method. The reference-level gear helix artifact (1) is an overally symmetrical structure. The center of mass of the artifact (1) overlaps the geometric center of the mandrel of the artifact (1). The cylindrical surface of the reference-level gear helix artifact is provided with a straight tooth groove (1-1), a left helical tooth groove (1-2), a right helical tooth groove (1-3), axial reference annular surfaces (1-6A, 1-6B), radial reference cylindrical surfaces (1-5A, 1-5B), fine threads (1-7A, 1-7B), and central holes (1-8A, 1-8B). The straight tooth groove (1-1) comprises an involute cylindrical surface (1-1-1) and an involute cylindrical surface (1-1-2) located on opposite sides and having a 0° helical angle. The left helical tooth groove (1-2) comprises a left 15° involute helical surface (1-2-1) and a left 30° involute helical surface (1-2-2). The right helical tooth groove comprises a right 15° involute helical surface (1-3-1) and a 30° involute helical surface (1-3-2). The reference-level gear helix artifact (1) is unified in design, processing and measurement references, symmetrical in structure and balanced in mass, and base disks can be mounted on either end of the reference-level gear helix artifact (1) to facilitate obtaining high processing precision using a generating processing method.
