This reinforcement device 30, which is a reinforcement device for an angle material 12 of an existing structure, has: two band members 301 and 302 that sandwich both sides of the angle material 12 from outside; a band auxiliary member 303 disposed at an inner corner of the angle material 12; coupling bolts and nuts 304 that couple the band auxiliary member 303 and one end of each of the band members 301 and 302; and tightening bolts and nuts 305 that integrally fix the other end of each of the band members 301 and 302 to the angle material 12, wherein only one set of the coupling bolts and nuts 304 and one set of the tightening bolts and nuts 305 are disposed at the one end and the other end of the band members 301 and 302, respectively. Reinforcement ribs are provided on the outer surfaces of the band members 301 and 302, the reinforcement ribs are provided on one of upper portions or lower portions of the two band members 301 and 302, and the reinforcement ribs for the two band members 301 and 302, when being attached to the angle material 12, are located on mutually different upper and lower sides.
