Disclosed are a coordination trunk line planning method and configuration system based on traffic flow data. Internet data and vehicle-passing data of a video number plate identification device are integrated, and a key flow direction is determined relying on traffic flow data in a non-congestion time period, so as to identify and configure a coordination direction of each control time period, and then plan and configure a coordination trunk. A non-congestion time period is identified based on traffic state data of the Internet, and by performing trunk configuration analysis for this time period, the problem of low efficiency of a coordination trunk caused by a traditional trunk configuration performed according to road network traffic planning and the overall consideration of coordination directions of all intersections for a saturated time period and an unsaturated time period is avoided, and thus, the accuracy of coordination trunks in different time periods is improved, and the optimal coordination is achieved. By performing configuration and identification analysis on trunks in different time periods, the implementation efficiency of a coordination trunk is improved, and an auxiliary support is provided for the coordination and optimization of regional signals.
