The present invention relates to medical instruments, and more particularly, relates to a guide wire (13) for tracheal intubation. The guide wire (13) comprises: an elongated main body (14); and an inhalation portion (16) positioned at a first end (15) of the main body (14). When applied in intubation, the inhalation portion (16) has a volume, and inhalation can cause the inhalation portion (16) and a portion of the main body (14) to enter the body of a patient.
