IMAGE SENSOR HAVING GRID PATTERNS ELBEDDED IN AN ANTI-REFLECTIVE LAYER

An image sensor is described. The image sensor may include photoelectric conversion parts formed in a substrate and isolation regions between the photoelectric conversion parts; an anti-reflective layer formed on the substrate; grid patterns formed on the anti-reflective layer and color filters between the grid patterns; and micro lenses on the color filters. Each of the grid patterns may include an upper grid part and a lower grid part. The lower end of the lower grid part may be embedded in the anti-reflective layer.
