Disclosed is a protective tape for a thermoforming process of a plastic material, which is attached to a surface of a plastic material to prevent damage to the plastic material due to thermal press forming during a thermal press forming process of the plastic material. According to the present invention, the protective tape comprises: a base film made of a polycarbonate (PC) material; an upper surface coating film bonded to an upper surface of the base film and made of a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) material; a lower surface coating film bonded to a lower surface of the PC and made of the PET material; an adhesive layer formed on a lower surface of the lower surface coating film; and a release film provided on the adhesive layer. When the plastic material to be thermally formed is coated with the protective tape and is thermally formed, damage to the plastic material is prevented, thereby significantly increasing the mass production yield.
