Composition, packaged medicament, and method using posaconazole for sensitization of resistant tumors

Compositions, packaged medicaments and methods of treatment by sensitization of resistant tumors are provided. The composition includes posaconazole and a chemotherapeutic agent. Tumor cells of mammalian subjects treated with posaconazole are sensitized to the effect of the chemotherapeutic agent, increasing the therapeutic index of the agent and reducing toxicity to the subject.
