The present invention relates to a composition for purification and extraction of nucleic acids and a detection kit and method using the same. The composition can effectively purify impurities contained in a biological sample while amplification of nucleic acids such as infectious bacteria contained in the biological sample is possible, and thus the composition can be usefully applied for the detection of nucleic acids such as infectious bacteria present in the biological sample via a simple and easy process.
