Fire protection system for inclined flammable confined spaces

A fire protection system is provided for a space consisting of structural members extending from the ridge to the eaves and having a pitched roof with respective channels between them. The sprinklers in the first row are mounted on a first branch line extending generally parallel to the ridge line. Each sprinkler is located in each channel, and successive sprinklers are spaced apart with one or more and no more than five channels between them. The sprinklers of the second row located on a downward slope from the first row are mounted on a second branch line extending generally parallel to the first branch line. Each sprinkler is located in each channel, and the sprinklers in a second row in succession are spaced apart as in the first row. Each of the sprinklers in the second row is also arranged in a different channel from each of the sprinklers in the first row. The number of furthest channels between the sprinklers in the first row and the sprinklers in the second row is 3.
