According to an embodiment of the present invention, provided is a silicon-graphite composite electrode active material which can be used in a secondary battery. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the silicon-graphite composite electrode active material for a secondary battery is formed by using, as a unit powder body, a silicon-graphite composite in which silicon is mixed with a graphite material. The silicon-graphite composite includes the graphite material and silicon located inside the graphite material, so that there is no silicon on the outside of the graphite material, or the silicon is located only on a part of the outer surface.
