In an embodiment, the method is performed using a door entry guidance system comprising a door checker configured to secure the door in a slightly open position. The entry guide actuator can move between the retracted and extended positions. The extended position corresponds to the slightly open position. The controller is configured to move the entry guide actuator between a retracted position and an extended position in response to an entry guide signal.
