METHOD OF TOPICAL TREATMENT OF POSTOPERATIVE EXTERNAL ENTERIC FISTULAS

FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery. Hydrophobic sponge is laid on the wound bottom to the fistulous passage along the length of the defect. Hole is plugged with a gauze pad along the perimeter. Thereafter, first layer of polyurethane film is fixed on wound surface without comparing wound edges to skin edges. Longitudinal incision is made in the centre of the film and a drain tube with size of at least 24 Fr is installed. Proximal edge of the tube is placed in the fistulous passage and fixed with a second layer of the polyurethane film. Distal end of the drain tube is then connected to an active aspiration system.;EFFECT: method provides safe, non-invasive and effective conservative treatment of external intestinal fistulas in the early phase of a wound process, allowing to avoid risks of more aggressive therapeutic methods, including repeated surgical interventions, due to continuous aeration of fistulous passage, which provides timely limitation of interintestinal leakage, correction of perifocal inflammation around wound surface.;1 cl, 1 ex, 4 dwg
