Methods, systems and devices for wireless communication at a receiving device are described. The receiving device can receive the first physical layer header of the first wireless local area network (WLAN) protocol data unit over the shared radio frequency spectrum band. The first physical layer header may include at least a first basic service set (BSS) identifier and a first device association identifier (AID). The receiving device may perform an intra-frame operation including a power saving operation and a reception filtering operation, based at least in part on the first BSS identifier and the first device AID.
