To provide a peelable biaxially drawn polyester film having extremely excellent sealability and peelability to a ready-meal tray, in particular, a ready-meal tray composed of APET (amorphous) or RPET (regenerated article-containing PET).SOLUTION: There is provided a transparent peelable polyester film comprising: a base layer (B) consisting of a biaxially drawn polyester film having a first surface and a second surface; an outer layer (C) applied and formed on the first surface of the base layer (B); and a heat-sealable outer layer (A) applied and formed on the second surface of the base layer (B). The heat-sealable outer layer (A) has sealability and peelability to a ready-meal tray composed of APET and RPET, and is formed by off-line coating, and is composed of (a) 85 to 99 wt.% of polyester and (b) 1 to 15 wt.% of other material. The polyester constituting the heat-sealable outer layer (A) is composed of at least one aromatic dicarboxylic acid unit of 25 to 95 mol% and at least one aliphatic dicarboxylic acid unit of 5 to 75 mol%, when the total of the dicarboxylic acid derived units is 100 mol%, and is composed of 10 mol% of unit derived from a linear or a branched diol having more than 2 carbons when the total of the diol derived units is 100 mol%. The outer layer (C) is composed of a cross-linked acrylate-based and/or a methacrylate-based copolymer.SELECTED DRAWING: None
