Among the patients with renal and epididymal tuberculosis reported to 12 health centers in Aomori and Akita prefectures from 1945 through 1958, those patients who could be subjected to investigate were 1061 cases with renal tuberculosis and 236 cases with epididymal tuberculosis. The following results were obtained by investigating sex and age during this period which was divided into three periods, 1945-1950 (first period), 1951•1955 (second period), 1956-1958 (third period). 1) Number of the patients with renal t u berculosis was 1.21 times greater in male than female. 2) Number of the patients with renal tuberculosis in second and third decade, especially the latter was decreased, while more than fourth decade was increased. 3) The highest incidence of renal tuberculosis was found in third decade during the first and second period and in fourth decade during the third period. 4) Average age of the patients with renal tuberculosis was in c reased in each period and the rate of the increase was more significant in female. 5) In third and fourth decades higher incidence o f renal tuberculosis was found in male, while female in fifth decade. 6) The patients with e pididymal tuberculosis were decreased in third and fourth decades during the third period comparing with the first and second periods and in the other decades it was rather increased resulting in less difference in age. 7) There was no consistent change in the shift of incidence by average age in the patients with epididymal tuberculosis.
