摘要

1. SPACES(S):what kind of new space?> at first I dwelled in a space detached from the world and the worka despised world of speedism in an infinite thinning of timeI thought that this space was the ultimate metaphor for research and 'science'I thought that i should be therelet's call this space 'metaphoric space'> I moved into something else. I reprogammed my spacein touch with the world and the worka beloved world of slowness in an infinite thickness of timeI designed this space (my design-research-table) andI made this space (my design-research-table)let's call this space 'material space'It is a movement of transcendence.2. CONVERSATION(S):In this new space, I've started a series of conversations.I refer to Hüsserl's Transcendental Subjectivity to structure these conversations as follows, and I specify them here as 'interrogations':> interrogation of the self (monologue intérieur) by the self as self> interrogation of the self (dialogue intérieur) by the self as other> interrogation of the self (dialogue extérieur) by the other as self> interrogation of the self by (discourse and public debate) by the other as otherI see 'interrogation' as observation of the process of creation in artistic research.I see 'interrogation' as a dialectical process of questions and answers.I see 'interrogation' as a methodical practice of doubt. It is the conscious application of language that intertwines with and structures the creation process methodically. These conversations-as-observations aim for better observations-as-conversations, for improvement in the way Gerard de Zeeuw understands it, and makes us understand. It is the conscious application of slowness as a better generator of improvement. How can we position this better in a mediated society?Possibly, my brooding on this is not over yet.In railway stations and airports I have the habit to brood on earliers brooding ;-)See you on Wednesday in Stockholm!
