Working with Abused and Neglected Elders in Minority Populations: A Synthesis of Research

摘要

The report is a review of research on abuse and neglect within minority groups. Respect for human dignity and individual uniqueness are cornerstones of social work practice. Thus, it is of utmost importance that abuse and neglect be understood within a cultural context. This publication is a synthesis of research designed to accomplish that purpose. It covers the American Indian, Hispanic, Asian and Black elderly.
