The report describes the monitoring of ground water, surface water, and water quality in the Black Mesa area from July 1, 1989, to May 31, 1990, to determine effects on the aquifer caused by withdrawals from industrial and municipal wells. Except for some previously collected data that are used for comparison, only data collected during this period appear in this report. The scope of the data collection included water-level measurements, chemical analyses of ground water from wells and springs, compilation of pumpage data, and measurement of spring and surface-water discharge at sites where the principal water source is the N aquifer.
