The eye implant (1) has a biocompatible liquid impermeable envelope casing (1-1) that is equipped with an open hollow structure (2) at both ends of a longitudinal extension. Two apertures (5A,5B) are respectively formed at both ends of the casing, for inflow and outflow of aqueous humor in the respective compartments of an eye. A pair of pressure sensor (S1,S2) is provided in the casing, to detect the intraocular pressure (P1,P2) at the respective compartments of the eye, such that a supply or disconnection of a pump (3) in the hollow structure is effected. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a system for treating and monitoring glaucoma disease; (2) a method of treating and monitoring glaucoma disease in an eye using an eye implant; and (3) an eye implant arrangement.
