As called for in section 313 of Public Law 99-660 and at the request of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, a committee of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences reviewed the possible adverse events following vaccination with a number of commonly-administered vaccines or vaccine components. The following document is a transcript of the public meeting held on September 11, 1992, in Woods Hole, MA.
