摘要

In April 1993 experiments have been carried out in regular and irregular largeamplitude, steep waves. The report contains the results from the regular wave tests. The heave and pitch motions and the vertical shear forces and bending moments have been measured at midship and at a quarter length from the bow. The towing tank model used was a Wigley variant. The underwater hull form was equal to the mathematically described Wigley hull form as already used in the forced oscillation tests (1). The bow has been extrapolated with a lot of bowflare, resulting in a container look alike bow. These experiments have been performed as
