Uruguay Round of Multilateral Trade Negotiations: Report of the Investment PolicyAdvisory Committee (INPAC) on the Investment-Related Provisions of the Uruguay Round of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade

The Investment Policy Advisory Committee ('INPAC') was created pursuant to theTrade Act of 1974 to provide advice from the private sector to the President, the Congress, and the United States Trade Representative on investment policy issues related to international economic activity. In fulfillment of this responsibility, INPAC has prepared this report on the investment-related provisions of the Uruguay Round of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade ('GATT'). In regard to other aspects of the Uruguay Round that affect investment, including agreements on market access, subsidies, application of antidumping laws, and protection of intellectual property, INPAC refers the reader to the reports of other advisory committees that analyze them.
