Protocols for Integrity Constraint Checking in Federated Databases

摘要

In this report, we describe a family of integrity constraint checking protocolsthat do not require global control and are thus fit for federated database systems. The various protocols in the family differ with respect to consistency guarantees, system requirements, and execution costs. Thereby, the presented approach allows fitting constraint checking to specific situations in federated systems.
