Pollution Prevention at Industrial Laundries: Assessment Observations and WasteReduction Options

摘要

The sources of pollution within industrial laundries must be identified andsolutions found which reduce or eliminate the generation of the wastes through source reduction, reuse and recycling. Pollution prevention should be generally divided into laundry site activities and customer site activities. The report presents several options for reducing solid and hazardous waste generation. Opportunities to reduce the volume of non-hazardous solid wastes through better supplier partnerships also exist. Some options for reducing those wastes are also presented.
