This publication is about the visual quality of structures built to accommodatevisitors and park administration and management in the national parks. It is about the relationship of structures to park resources and the complex systems of natural, prehistoric, and historic resources for which parks are established. The intended audience for this report includes anyone who can influence visual quality. This includes directors, superintendents, rangers, interpretive specialists, chiefs of maintenance, and facilities managers, as well as landscape architects, architects, planners, and engineers.
