摘要

The objectives of this research were to: (1) Assess the long-term outcomes andutilization patterns of back pain and headache patients to provde a basis for developing innovative interventions to improve functioning and self-care among primary care patients with recurrent or chronic pain. (2) Conduct an exploratory audiotape study of primary care back pain and headache visits to identify how behavioral approaches to management of recurrent and chronic pain might be integrated into routine health care.
