摘要

This assignment covers the development of a mathematical model for the Pressurized Tapping Combustor with the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) package FLUENT V4.32. Part of this investigation is to find out whether the FLAME-code is applicable to FLUENT V4.32. Furthermore recommendations have to be made to optimise the design in order to decrease the emissions of NO-x and other environmental damaging substances. For this the NO-x-post-processor, provided by FLUENT, is used. The results of the model should be compared with experimental results. The model should be a powerful tool for the prediction of gaseous emissions, temperatures, flame length and other characteristics as function of the process conditions.
