This document contains the results of the driver comprehension experiment of theselected temporary pavement marking systems, including the comprehension of selected traffic signs. The following temporary pavement marking systems were included in this study: (1) Current ODOT system, (2) Proposed Federal system, (3) Fully restored center lines at the end of day, (4) Selection of proposed Ohio University systems. A computerized, animated driver comprehension questionnaire consisting of 91 animated driving scenes and four multiple choice questions per scene was designed. The animated driving scenes and the corresponding questionnaires were shown on a touch screen. Data was collected for a total of 68 subjects. The questionnaire data was analyzed for a total of for 57 subjects ranging in age from 16 year to 73 years.
