Develop Maintenance Strategy Selection Procedures for Pavements Incorporating211 Semi-Rigid or Chemically Stabilized Layers

TxDOT does not currently have a formal maintenance strategy selection procedure211u001efor pavements which have semi-rigid or chemically stabilized layers. The approach 211u001eused was to interview experienced TxDOT personnel in each district and to 211u001edetermine the appropriate maintenance treatments and timing in that district for 211u001ea variety of expected situations and conditions. The result of this research was 211u001ea set of treatment assignments for each district and for airports, for a matrix 211u001eof expected conditions including distress type, severity, and quantity; traffic 211u001elevel or importance; rate of development; and purpose of the treatment. A 211u001ecomputer program and user's manual were developed to assist in treatment 211u001eselection.
