This report collects the results of the laser profilometer flights accomplished211u001eduring the ZIP-97 field experiment. This experiment constituted the field part of 211u001ethe Ice State project and focused on the morphology and dynamics of sea ice over 211u001edifferent spatial scales: the basinwide (100 km), the intermediate (10 km), and 211u001ethe local scales. The laser profilometer data provides the basic quantification 211u001eof the amount of ridged ice in basinwide and intermediate scales. As there were 211u001etwo measurements flights and an intensive deformation period between them, some 211u001equantification of the ridge formation rates is also possible. The data was 211u001ecollected with an Optech Model 501 SA Rangefinder sing 100 Hz frequency, 211u001ecorresponding to about 0.5 m in measurement spacing. The total length of the 14 211u001eprofiles was 271 km and they are all from the Northeast quadrant of the Bay of 211u001eBothnia.
