Effektiv Samordning av Varufloeden (Efffective Co-ordinaton and of Supply Chains).

The report is a summary of two projects concerning Effective Co-ordination and of Supply Chains. Peter Rosen has composed project No. 1 Third-Party Logistics in Sweden. Magnus Pruth has written the 2nd project, Dynamic Contracting in Third-Party Logistics Relations. In accordance to more integrated planning and controlling of supply chains there are possibilities for TPL-providers to be an important actor with demanded services, knowledge and resources that will make supply chains more effective. These circumstances make it interesting to investigate and describe today's collected experience among companies that have been buying services from TPL-providers. Therefore the aim of project no 1 is to: investigate and describe the collected experience of TPL-services in the Swedish industry. Project no. 2 is investigating the contract as a mechanism for structuring and controlling TPL-relations. There shall be a focus on TPL-contracts and its design and structure for co-ordination and controlling relationships. The contract beyond its legal aspect can be seen as a device for process investment in the TPL-interface and its infra-structure. The aim of the project is to: investigate how TPL-contracts shall be designed and structured so they can act as a framework for effective co-ordination and controlling mechanism in TPL-relations.
