Application of Reburning to Coal-Fired Industrial Boilers in Taiwan

The paper gives an overview of the characteristics of coal-fired industrial211u001eboilers in Taiwan and projections of the cost and performance data for 211u001eretrofitting several boilers with reburning. The impacts of reburning fuel type 211u001eon the reburning system design and cost effectiveness are also examined and are 211u001eshown to be an important factor for reburning application in Taiwan. The goal of 211u001ethe demonstration will be to achieve a nitrogen oxide (NOx) emission reducting of 211u001emore than 50% with no adverse impacts on boiler performance or operation. The 211u001eresults of the project will hopefully demonstrate that reburning can be applied 211u001eto reduce Nox emissions from industrial boilers.
